We’ve all heard the term, “it’s a no brainer.”  I guess this means the decision is so easy, that you just don’t have to think about it.

This saying gets to join many other sayings that I think are silly.  I don’t believe there is such a thing as a “no-brainer.”  Instead, why don’t we have brainers?  Those are the things we should think about have them align with our mission and vision of life.

It’s too easy for us to take be on autopilot and doing things because we’ve always done them.  Doing things that we don’t really think about.

Instead, let’s start to question why we do things and what about them is important?  Let’s choose one thing a week and question whether we should continue doing them.

There is too much that happens because we’ve always done it that way.  Today’s world works better when we challenge common conventions that we all live with.  The more we challenge what we’re doing, the more we’re asking the question why.

It’s the question why that helps us see if there really is a “no-brainer.”  My personal experience is that when I ask why, I usually have an interesting conversation.  Many of those conversations lead me to take actions that I formally would have done on autopilot.

What about you?  Are you willing to challenge conventional thought?  If you don’t, you might find that your floor and belief system disappears.
